Acceptable Use Policy

Supported creative work

Use the editor for posters, menus, ads, product marketing images, packaging drafts, event graphics, social media creatives, game artwork and other owned or authorized design assets.

Prohibited images and changes

Do not submit high-risk records for text alteration, even if the change appears small. This includes:

• Government IDs, passports, driver licenses and visas.
• Bank statements, account balances, financial transaction records and payment evidence.
• High-risk receipts or invoices used to misrepresent a transaction, purchase or entitlement.
• Official certificates and institutional documents.
• Medical documents, prescriptions and insurance records.
• Chat, email or other screenshots fabricated or altered to deceive people about what someone said or did.

Impersonation, fraud, misrepresentation and content you lack permission to edit are prohibited. Do not use otherwise ordinary creative images as false evidence.

Safety review

Requests and outputs are subject to moderation and high-risk category checks. Uncertain or unsupported requests may be blocked. Do not disguise prohibited content or try to bypass these checks. An allowed result is not a certification that your intended use is lawful or appropriate.

Safety-blocked edits do not consume a Credit when no successful delivery occurs. See the Refund Policy for failed edits and support review. Repeated abuse may lead to suspended access under the Terms of Service.

Sexual and NSFW content

Pornography, explicit sexual content, sexually suggestive or eroticized content, sexualized posing and non-consensual sexual content are prohibited. These restrictions apply to submitted images and requested edits.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual content involving minors, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming and sexualization of children are prohibited. This includes simulated or synthetic child sexual abuse material. Ordinary non-sexual images of children are not prohibited solely because children appear.

Violence and gore

Do not submit or create graphic gore, extreme or sadistic violence, or content that promotes, encourages, celebrates or facilitates serious physical harm. Ordinary fictional, documentary, news, historical or educational depictions are not automatically prohibited unless they cross these harmful thresholds or are otherwise illegal.

Hate and discriminatory abuse

Do not promote or incite hatred, discrimination, dehumanization or violence against protected groups, including groups defined by race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability. Hateful slurs used to target or attack these groups are prohibited. Neutral transformations and educational, historical, documentary or anti-hate contexts may be allowed when the edit does not promote or intensify abuse. Automated review can misunderstand context; uncertain requests may be blocked.

Deepfakes and impersonation

Face swaps, face manipulation, deepfake identity manipulation and deceptive impersonation are prohibited, including misleading edits intended to make a real person appear to say, do or be something they did not. A person appearing in an image is not automatically prohibited: lawful text-only replacement on an ordinary poster may be allowed when no other restriction applies.

Intellectual property and permission

You must own, control or have appropriate permission to edit and use uploaded images and replacement text. Do not knowingly infringe copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, publicity or other third-party rights. Counterfeit branding, deceptive unauthorized replicas and removal or alteration of ownership notices or watermarks for infringing or deceptive purposes are prohibited.

A brand or logo in a lawful advertisement, your own design or licensed material is not automatically prohibited. We cannot reliably verify ownership or detect every infringement automatically. We may block, restrict, remove or investigate content or accounts when infringement is apparent or reported. Send rights complaints to support@typerefit.com.

These rules also prohibit scams, false representations and deceptive edits to otherwise ordinary creative images. They supplement, and do not replace, the high-risk document restrictions above.
